Kerry Kaiser’s Retirement

On behalf of the Management Committee of the Centretown Emergency Food Centre, I am saddened to share with our donors and supporters the news that Kerry Kaiser, our much-loved, long-time Coordinator, has had to resign from her position as Coordinator due to a serious illness. Kerry’s resignation is effective January 1, 2021.

For 26 years, Kerry has been an inspiring leader for our Food Centre, serving with energy, compassion, and dedication. She has overseen the care and interests of thousands of clients, inspired hundreds of loyal volunteers, spoken at most of our CCSAC member churches, built partnerships with other social service agencies and supervised many young social work students, helping them launch their future careers. She has been a tireless champion for our clients and for the high standards of our Food Centre.

She will be greatly missed and challenging to replace.

We thank Kerry for her many years of leadership and vision, and encourage those who wish to send her a message of support to mail their notes to the Centre, 507 Bank Street, K2P 1Z5. We will ensure all mail is delivered to Kerry.

Despite the continuing threat of COVID in our community, the Management Committee is committed to continuing the tradition of client-centred service upheld so well by Kerry.
