Our New Manager

Dear Food Centre friends.

I am pleased to announce that Diana Mahaffy has been appointed as Manager of the Centretown Emergency Food Centre, effective October 26, 2020.

Diana brings to this position extensive experience gained in the charitable and corporate sectors. From 2009 to 2012, Diana was Coordinator of the Parkdale Food Centre where she was responsible for coordination and supervision of staff and volunteers, financial management, record keeping, fundraising and donor recognition. More recently, she served as interim Managing Director of Gracefield Christian Camp and Retreat Centre where her responsibilities included hiring, training and supervising staff and volunteers, facilities management, payroll and booking and interacting with diverse client and stakeholder groups.

An electrical engineer by profession, Diana also brings to her new position experience with project development, financial accountability and problem solving, gained through previous assignments as a Project Manager with CIMA+ Engineering Consultants from 2012 to 2016 and as a Protection and Control Engineer with Hydro One from 1988 to 1993.

In addition to her professional experience, Diana has been a long-time volunteer with Centre 507 and St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church.
